MANILA, Philippines – Iniulat ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) na nakakumpiska ito ng P158,994,889.91 halaga ng mga armas, ammunition, pampasabog at ebidensya, kasabay ng pagkakaaresto sa 964 suspects sa illegal na aktibidad noong Disyembre 2024.
Sa pahayag nitong Sabado, sinabi ng CIDG na nagresulta ang 885 operasyon mula sa 94 court cases kontra loose firearms, illegal gambling, environmental crimes, smuggling, counterfeiting, illegal liquified petroleum gas (LPG) manufacturing, at terorismo.
Nauna nang iniulat na nakakumpiska ito ng P1.7 bilyong halaga ng ebidensya at nakapag-aresto ng mahigit 1,000 suspects noong Nobyembre 2024.
Bilang hakbang para lansagin ang loose firearms, ipinag-utos ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Rommel Marbil na targetin ang unregulated guns bago ang 2025 national at local elections.
