BACOLOD CITY- Sumuko ang buntis na 22-anyos na amazonang New People’s Army (NPA) sa 11th Infantry Battalion (IB) sa Barangay Mantiquil, Siaton, Negros Oriental nitong Miyerkules.
Mahigit dalawang taon si Maine, finance and logistics officer ng Squad 2, Southeast Front (SEF), Komiteng Rehiyon-Negros, Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor (KR-NCBS), sa samahan, ayon sa 3rd Infantry Division (ID) nitong Biyernes.
Sumuko siya isang buwan matapos magbalik-loob sa pamahalaan ang dalawa pang buntis na miyembro ng nabuwag na SEF, na sina Sarah at Aubre, sa 11th IB at kapulisan ng Barangay Tayak, Siaton noong Disyembre.
Binigyang-diin ng 3rd ID na testamento ang sunod-sunod na pagsuko sa Negros Island mula nang likhain nag National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) noong December 2018 ng pagiging epektibo ng pamahalaan sa pagtugon sa ugat ng insurhensya.
