MANILA, Philippines – Nilinaw ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) na wala itong ipinapadalang text notification para sa mga paglabag sa batas-trapiko sa ilalim ng No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP).
Ayon sa ahensya, ito ay matapos silang makatanggap ng ulat na mayroon umanong mga text message na ipinapadala at pinagbabayad ng multa para sa NCAP offenses.
“The text message circulating regarding the payment of fines for violating the [NCAP] is fake and not from the [MMDA],” sinabi ng MMDA.
Ibinahagi ng MMDA ang screenshot ng umano’y text message para sa NCAP violations na tinawag nitong scam.
“Currently, the MMDA has yet to have a text notification for NCAP violations, as it is still under development,” ipinunto ng ahensya.
Kamakailan ay inilunsad ng MMDA ang “May Huli Ka” website para makita ng mga motorista online kung sila ay may paglabag sa batas-trapiko.
Sa kaparehong post, hinimok ng ahensya ang publiko na magbayad lamang sa lehitimong payment channels na matatagpuan sa https://mayhulika.mmda.gov.ph/pay-my-fine.
“If you receive a suspicious message or post on social media, you may call the MMDA Hotline 136 or send a message to the MMDA official accounts,” sinabi ng MMDA. RNT/JGC
