MANILA, Philippines – Ang Department of Transportation (DOTr) at Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) ay magbibigay ng libreng sakay sa mga pasaherong makakaharap ng mga isyu sa pag-tap out sa panahon ng pilot run ng cashless payments.
“Starting Monday, August 4, the DOTr and MRT-3 will provide free single journey tickets (SJT) to passengers who are unable to tap out at MRT-3 stations due to system errors during the pilot run of cashless payments in the train line,” saad ng DOTr.
Ayon pa sa DOTr, ilang sakay ng MRT-3 ang nagreklamo na sinisingil sila ng maximum fare na P28 dahil sa system issues kapag nag-tap out sa exit turnstile.
“As a solution, affected passengers will be given a non-expiring SJT equivalent to the maximum MRT fare, which they can use for their next ride,” sabi ng DOTr.
Ang mga apektadong pasahero ay maaaring pumunta sa anumang ticket booth at magpakita ng patunay ng nabigong tap-out na transaksyon para makuha ang libreng SJT.
“Humihingi lang din tayo ng konting pang-unawa sa ilang mga problema ngayong pilot run, pero rest assured na within this August, dadami pa ang cashless turnstiles natin at tuloy-tuloy ang system upgrades para iwas-aberya,” ani Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon.
Noong Hulyo 25, inilunsad ng DOTr ang pilot run para sa cashless transaction sa MRT-3.
Maaaring i-tap lang ng mga pasahero ang kanilang mga card, GCash Commuter QR code, o Near Field Communication (NFC)-enabled na mga Android smartphone sa mga bagong turnstile. RNT/MND
