MANILA, Philippines – Binatikos ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez ang naging desisyon ng Senado na agarang i-archive ang impeachment complaint laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.
Ayon sa kanya, malinaw sa Saligang Batas na ang Kamara lamang ang may karapatang magpasimula ng anumang proseso ng impeachment.
“We exercised that power lawfully, transparently, and in good faith — not out of spite, but out of duty. Not to attack, but to ask for answers — answers the Vice President never gave,” saad niya sa isang pahayag.
“This was never about political maneuvering. It was about accountability — pananagutan — anchored on verified facts and sworn documents,” dagdag pa niya. RNT
