MANILA, Philippines – Inaprubahan ng Bangsamoro Board of Investment (BBOI) ang nasa P4 bilyong halaga ng investments ngayong taon.
Ayon kay BBOI chairperson Mohamad Omar Pasigan, naabot nito ang target ngayong taon sa pagkakaapruba sa dalawang bagong investments sa agrikultura at real estate na nagkakahalaga ng P800 milyon, na isinailalim sa deliberasyon ng agency board sa Davao City noong Hulyo 28.
“This is not just a win for the BBOI, but for the entire Bangsamoro. We thank our investors and stakeholders for their trust, and we remain committed to fulfilling this Amana (responsibility) entrusted to us — to build a more competitive, inclusive, and investor-friendly region for all,” saad sa pahayag ni Pasigan.
Aniya, ang mga bagong investment ay sa coconut industry sa Maguindanao del Sur at mass housing sa Maguindanao del Norte.
Idinagdag pa ni Pasigan na ang mga proyektong ito ay inaasahang lilikha ng 230 trabaho na direktang mag-aambag sa economic inclusion at regional development.
Noong Abril, nairehistro ang investments ng BBOI sa P3.2 bilyon, lampas sa P3 bilyong target para sa 2025.
Ikinatuwa naman ito ni Chief Minister Abdulraof “Sammy Gambar” Macacua at sinabing “this is a strong sign that the Bangsamoro region is now being seen as a viable and trusted investment destination.”
“With moral governance as our foundation, we are proving that peace and development can go hand in hand. This milestone is part of our economic jihad – a peaceful struggle to uplift the lives of our people through honest governance and sustainable progress,” dagdag pa niya.
