MANILA, Philippines – ITINURING ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na “disinformation” ang isang video na kumakalat sa YouTube na di umano’y isang naval standoff sa pagitan ng Filipino at Malaysian forces.
“This is entirely fabricated—no such incident occurred. It intends to strain our 60-year diplomatic ties with Malaysia, erode public trust in the AFP, and provoke unnecessary tensions,” ang sinabi ng military sa isang kalatas.
Ang 12-minute video ay naglalarawan ng standoff sa pagitan ng mga naval forces ng dalawang bansa kaugany sa conflicting territorial claims.
Winika ng AFP na ang ganitong disinformation ay banta sa kapayapaan at katatagan sa rehiyon, “serving only political or strategic agendas.”
