Manila, Philippines – Pormal nang nagsampa ng kaso ang BINI, ang nangungunang all-girl group sa bansa, kaugnay ng mga malisyosong video na na-upload sa social media kung saan nalagay sa alanganin ang grupo.
Kasama ang kanilang legal counsel na si Atty. Joji Alonso, naghain ang grupo ng reklamong unjust vexation sa isang indibiduwal sa ilalim ng Article 287, Section 4 (b) ng RA 10175 o Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Ito’y kaugnay sa 25 minute video ng food review ng BINI on Pinoy food.
Ayon sa lawyer at film producer, ini-splice umano at in-upload lamang ng suspek ang two-minute video na dahilan para ma-bash ang nasabing grupo.
“This complaint emanated from a spliced video of the girls who were testing, rating and tasting Filipino street food.
“The reduced video was running about two minutes and contained nothing but negative reactions, negative comments, on the food that they tasted,” ani Atty. Joji.
“So this completely changed the narrative of the show ’cause what was left was all negativity,” dugtong niya.
Kung mapatunayang maysala, puwedeng makulong ang respondent ng anim hanggang 12 taon.
“Penalty here is not that small, ha. It’s prision mayor, which is imprisonment of six years and a day to twelve years. And on top of that I’d just like to add, we also are asking damages in the amount of P1 million for each girl,” paliwanag niya. Archie Liao
