MANILA, Philippines – Tuminta ng kasunduan ang Ayala-led Globe Telecom Inc. at Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) upang magtulungan sa pag-iwas at pag-imbestiga ng mga kaso ng fraud.
Ayon sa Globe, ang memorandum of understanding ay susuporta sa pamahalaan at industry-wide efforts para proteksyunan ang mga Filipino laban sa identity theft, phishing, SMS scams, at iba pang fraudulent activities sa digital space.
Sinisiguro rin nito ang mahigpit na kooperasyon sa pagitan ng DICT at attached agencies nito na National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), the National Privacy Commission (NPC), at Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC).
Epektibo agad ang MOU na tatakbo ng dalawang taon at ‘subject to renewal’ matapos magkasundo.
Regular din na susuriin ng dalawang partido ang framework para sa posible pang pagpapabuti nito sa kabila ng nagbabago ring banta sa digital space.
“By combining our resources, intelligence, and expertise with that of the government, we are creating stronger shields for Filipinos and ensuring that technology remains a force for good,” saad sa pahayag ni Globe President and Chief Executive Officer Carl Cruz.
