MANILA, Philippines – Dalawang contractors ng Department of Public Works and Highways na nasasangkot sa usapin ng maanomalyang ghost projects ang ngayon ay pina-iisyuhan na ng Kamara ng Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO).
Sa sulat ng Co-Chairman ng House Infrastructure Committee na si Bicol Saro Partylist Rep. Terry Ridon kay Justice Secretary Crispin Remulla ay pormal na hiniling ng kongresista na isailalim sa ILBO sina Sally N. Santos ng Syms Construction Trading na ang address ay nasa Malolos, Bulacan at Atty. Herbert Matienzo, dating Executive Director Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB).
Batay sa sulat na nilagdaan din nina Romeo Momo Sr., chairman ng House Committee on Public Works and Highways at Manila Rep. Joel Chua, chairman ng House Government and Public Accountability Committee, noong unang pagdinig ng Kamara sa isyu ng flood control funds ay nabigong makadalo si Santos kahit ito ay pinadalhan ng imbitasyon.
Sa nabanggit din na pagdinig ay lumutang ang alegasyon na si Atty. Matienzo ay sangkot sa bentahan ng PCAB licenses sa mga hindi kuwalipikadong mga contractors.
Hiniling din ng tatlong mambabatas sa Department of Justice na atasan ang Bureau of Immigration na mag-isyu ng ILBO upang ma-monitor ang posibleng paglabas sa bansa ng dalawa.
“In light of the foregoing, we respectfully that the Honorable Secretary of Justice issue Immigration Lookout Bulletin Orders (ILBOs) against both Ms. Santos and Atty. Matienzo, directing the Bureau of Immigration to monitor and report any attempt on their part to leave the country while they are under investigation by the Joint Committee,” ayon pa sa kahilingan ng komite.
Mahalaga ayon sa tatlong mambabatas na nakalagda sa liham kay Remulla na matiyak na hindi lalabas ng Pilipinas sina Santos at Matienzo at mapanatili ang integridad at kredibilidad ng imbestigasyon isinasagawa ng mga kongresista.
“The issuance of ILBOs is necessary to allow the Joint Committee through the Bureau of Immigration, to monitor any attempt by the concerned individuals to conceal their whereabouts by departing from the country, and to uphold the integrity and credibility of the ongoing legislative investigation” dagdag pa sa liham.
