MANILA, Philippines – Itinanggi ng Department of Finance (DOF) ang pagkakaroon ng P28 bilyon na official development assistance (ODA) loan mula sa South Korea.
Ang pahayag na ito ng DOF nitong Miyerkules, Setyembre 10 ay kasunod ng ulat na sinuspinde ni South Korean President Lee Jae-myung ang ODA dahil sa pangamba sa korapsyon sa Pilipinas.
“As regards [to] the supposed PHP28 billion official development assistance (ODA) loan between South Korea and the Philippines, the Department of Finance categorically clarifies that no such loan exists,” ayon sa DOF.
“Nevertheless, we reaffirm to our bilateral partners that the Philippine government will match their trust and confidence with full transparency and accountability,” dagdag pa. RNT/JGC
