Magalong binati ng PDP; mangunguna sa independent probe sa maanomalyang flood control projects

MANILA, Philippines – Binati ng Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) ang pagkakatalaga kay Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong para manguna sa independent probe sa maanomalyang flood control projects.

“We congratulate former police general and now Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong on his appointment to lead an independent body to conduct an inquiry into the scandal surrounding the flood control projects of the current administration. As may be recalled, this was the very same suggestion made by the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) as early as last 18 August 2025,” saad sa pahayag ng PDP.

As we have kept saying time and again, the PDP believes that Mayor Magalong is a person of unimpeachable integrity, honesty and solid principles, as demonstrated by his handling of the Philippine National Police Board of Inquiry into the Mamasapano Massacre where, in the face of pressures and enticements, he stuck to his guns and let the hammer fall where it may, so to speak, making a definitive conclusion finding then President Benigno Aquino III as squarely responsible for the death of forty-four members of the elite Special Action Force of the Philippine National Police,” pagpapatuloy pa ni Ferdinand Topacio, Deputy Spokesman ng PDP.

Anila, kapansin-pansin ang kredibilidad ni Magalong sa mga pinangunahan nitong hakbang kotra sa korapsyon sa lokal na pamahalaan at maging sa mga malalaking isyu ng lipunan.

Suportado naman ng PDP si Magalong sa magiging tungkulin nito para sa imbestigasyon ng mga anomalya sa flood control projects. RNT/JGC
