MANILA, Philippines – Sinabi ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) nitong Biyernes ng gabi na siyam na transmission lines na apektado ng Severe Tropical Storm Opong (international name Bualoi) ang naibalik na at isa na lamang ang nananatiling down.
Sa 9 p.m. advisory, sinabi ng grid operator na ang mga sumusunod na linya ng transmission ay naibalik na:
–Paranas-Quinapondan 69kV Line that services the Eastern Samar Electric Cooperative Inc. (ESAMELCO)
–Calbayog-Bliss 69kV Line, for Samar 1 Electric Cooperative (SAMELCO I)
–Nabas-Malay 69kV Line for Aklan Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AKELCO)
–Nabas-Culasi-Bugasong 69kV Line, for Antique Electric Cooperative (ANTECO)
–Batangas-Taysan 69kV Line, for Batangas II Electric Cooperative Inc. II (BATELEC II)
–Amlan-San Carlos 69kV Line, for Negros Oriental II Electric Cooperative (NORECO II)
–Pitogo-Mulanay 69kV Line , for Quezon I Electric Cooperative (QUEZELCO 1)
–Nabas-Sapian 69kV Line, for Aklan Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AKELCO)
–Batangas-Mabini 69kV Line, for BATELEC II.
Sinabi ng NGCP na ang transmission line na nananatiling hindi magagamit ay ang Calbayog-Allen 69kV Line, na tumutugon sa Northern Samar Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NORSAMELCO) at SAMELCO I.
Sinabi rin ng grid operator na nagpapatuloy ito sa pag “inspect and assess the impact of the severe tropical storm to its operations and facilities, and simultaneous restoration activities are being conducted on the areas already accessible.”
Binigyang diin na “loss of power may be caused by affected transmission facilities of NGCP or distribution facilities of local distribution utilities or electric cooperatives. Specific cities and municipalities affected by the power interruptions are determined by concerned Distribution Utilities, unless the outage affects the entire franchise area.”
Si Opong, na may taglay na hangin na 110 kph sa gitna at pagbugsong aabot sa 135 kph, ay inaasahang lalabas ng Philippine Area of Responsibility sa Sabado ng umaga o hapon. RNT/MND
