MANILA, Philippines – Pinalakas ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang kanilang alyansa sa Australian counterpart nito sa layuning epektibong matugunan ang mga pandaigdigang banta sa child exploitation, cybercrime, terorismo, at transnational organized crime.
Sinabi ni Acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr. na nakipagpulong sila sa delegasyon ng gobyerno ng Australia sa pangunguna ni Australian Ambassador to the Philippines Marc Innes-Brown at Commander Craig Palmer, Australian Federal Police Commander for Southeast Asia, at Detective Superintendent Brad Marden, Officer/Counsellor ng Australian Federal Police sa Maynila.
“We discussed ways to enhance our partnership in combating child exploitation, cybercrime, terrorism, and organized criminal activities,” ayon kay Nartatez.
“Both the PNP and the Australian Federal Police recognize the importance of intelligence sharing, capacity building, and technology-driven solutions to strengthen our joint operations,” dagdag niya.
Muli ring pinagtibay ni Nartatez ang pagkakaibigan at mutual commitment sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Australia na itaguyod ang rule of law at panatilihin ang kapayapaan at kaayusan.
Inulit din niya ang kahandaan ng PNP na palakasin ang international partnerships bilang suporta sa regional stability.
“The Philippine National Police stands ready and committed to collaborate with our international counterparts in addressing transnational threats. We are open to any opportunity for cooperation with international partners,” saad ni Nartatez.
