MANILA, Philippines – Bumulusok ang isang helicopter ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) na nagsasagawa ng humanitarian mission para sa mga apektado ng Bagyong Tino sa Agusan del Sur, ayon sa Eastern Mindanao Command (EMC).
Papunta sana ang chopper sa Butuan City nang bumagsak ito malapit sa bayan ng Loreto.
“The aircraft was deployed to carry out Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) missions within the TOG 10 Area of Responsibility in support of relief operations for Tropical Storm ‘TINO,'” ayon sa EMC.
Nawala ang komunikasyon sa helicopter, kaya nagsagawa ng search and rescue operation.
“A thorough investigation is being conducted to determine the circumstances and cause of this accident. Further details will be released as they become verified and available,” dagdag ng PAF.
Patuloy ang rescue at recovery operations habang nakikipag-ugnayan ang EMC sa mga lokal na emergency response teams. Dave Baluyot
