MANILA, Philippines – Ipinag-utos ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Borbon, Cebu ang forced evacuation sa mga residenteng naninirahan sa landslide-prone areas sa papalapit na Bagyong Uwan.
“All residents living in identified landslide-prone and high-risk areas are hereby ordered to evacuate immediately to designated evacuation centers for their safety,” saad sa executive order na pirmado ni Borbon Municipal Mayor Nico Dotillos.
Inatasan ni Dotillos Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), at concerned Barangay Officials para ipatupad ang kautusan at tumulong sa ligtas na evacuation at pagbiyahe sa mga apektadong residente.
Inabisuhan din ang mga opisyal ng barangay at local media outlets na ipakalat agad ang kautusan sa lahat ng pamamaraan ng komunikasyon.
“This Executive Order shall take effect immediately upon issuance and shall remain in force until the threat of Typhoon [Uwan] has passed and it is declared safe for residents to return to their homes,” sinabi pa sa executive order.
Tinukoy ng lokal na pamahalaan ang malalakas na pag-ulan at hangin na maaaring makaapekto sa munisipalidad simula Sabado ng gabi.
“WHEREAS, continuous and heavy rainfall may trigger landslides, flash floods, and other related hazards, endangering the lives and properties of residents situated in identified landslide-prone areas,” ayon pa sa kautusan. RNT/JGC
