WESTERN Visayas continues to experience a significant shift in its peace and order landscape, as shown by the remarkable 47.62% decrease in 8 Focus Crimes recorded from November 1–15, 2025, compared to the same period in 2024.
This drop — from 84 cases down to 44 — is more than just a statistical change. It is a visible sign that the region is steadily moving toward greater stability and public safety.
The sharp reductions in Murder (50%), Homicide (85.71%), Physical Injury (63.64%), Rape (47.06%), and Theft (33.33%) reflect an increasingly effective and disciplined law enforcement environment.
These improvements affirm that the persistent efforts of Police Regional Office 6 are making a real difference in the daily lives of the people.
Much of this progress can be traced to the strong leadership duo of PRO6 Director PBGen. Josefino Ligan and Philippine National Police acting chief LtGen Jose Melencio ‘Tateng’ Nartatez Jr.
