MANILA, Philippines – Nagsampa si businessman Enrique Razon, chairman ng ICTSI, ng cyberlibel case laban kay Cavite 4th District Rep. Kiko Barzaga dahil sa umano’y maling pahayag nito sa social media.
Tinukoy ng abogado ni Razon, Atty. Laurence Arroyo, ang Facebook post ni Barzaga noong Enero 9 na nagsabing: “NUP (National Unity Party) Congressmen received bribes from Enrique Razon in various gatherings in Solaire prior to the 2025 elections in exchange for supporting Speaker Martin Romualdez [of Leyte].”
“The basis of this complaint is our position that what he said is false and malicious,” sabi ni Arroyo.
Sinabi naman ni Barzaga: “I will face him in court.”
Ani House Deputy Speaker at NUP chairman Ronaldo “Ronnie” Puno, “The allegations are baseless, reckless, and malicious… We will see him in court, since he chose to malign all members of the NUP—a party once led by his own father and one that he himself joined.”
Gayunpaman, sinabi ni Barzaga na may basehan ang kanyang pahayag at handa siyang ipakita ang ebidensya pagbalik sa Kongreso: “I will reveal the evidence once I return to Congress,” sabi niya. RNT/MND
