MANILA, Philippines – “My door is always open for any form of dialogue”
Ito ang mensahe na nais iparating ni House Speaker Faustino Dy sa mga miyembro ng Kamara sa harap ng pahayag ni Deputy Speaker at National Unity Party Chairman Ronaldo Puno na nais lumipat ng kanilang 41 miyembro sa Minority Bloc dahil sa hindi nila gusto ang kasalukuyang liderato.
Giit ni Dy ang kalakasan ng Kamara bilang institusyon ay nakabase sa kakayahan ng mga miyembro nito na maresolba ang mga isyu nang maayos.
Isa sa partikular na dahilan ng planong pagkalas ng NUP sa House leadership ay bunsod ng usapin sa budget na hindi pa natatanggap ng mga distrito kasama na ang para sa infrastructure projects, dole-out programs sa ilalim ng Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), Medical Assistance to Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients Program (MAIFIP) at Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD).
Ipinaliwanag ni Dy na ang 2026 national budget o ang General Appropriations Act (GAA) ay binuo para masiguro na matutugunan ang pangangailangan ng taumbayan.
“The national budget is the most important bill passed by the House of Representatives, and we have worked tirelessly to ensure that it was passed promptly, transparently, and equitably so that it addresses the needs of our countrymen and supports the vision of the President,” ani Dy.
Kung mayroon umanong mga katanungan ang mga mambabatas ay mainam na mag-usap.
“My door is always open to our colleagues in the House. The strength of this institution lies in our ability to talk openly, resolve concerns constructively, and work together despite differences,” ani Dy.
Sinabi ni Puno na bilang House Speaker ay si Dy ang siyang dapat nag iimporma sa kanila sa nangyayari.
“He seems to be indifferent to the situation of lawmakers now. I hope that is not the case, because we voted for him, he is our Speaker. You have heard us in the past, you have not heard anything but support for them,” paliwanag ni Puno.
Bilang tugon, nanindigan si Dy na ang lahat ng programa ng pamahalaan para sa taumbayan ay matatanggap.
“At the end of the day, is united under a responsibility “to serve the Filipino people and ensure that the resources entrusted to government translate into real programs, real infrastructure, and real services for our communities.” ani Dy.
