MANILA, Philippines — Nagpalabas ng mga subpoena ang House Committee on Justice para sa mga dokumentong may kaugnayan sa umano’y paggamit ng confidential funds ni Vice President Sara Duterte, kabilang ang mga rekord na may pangalang “Mary Grace Piattos” at iba pang kwestiyonableng payee, bilang bahagi ng nagpapatuloy na impeachment proceedings laban sa bise presidente.
Sa isang “subpoena ad testificandum et duces tecum” na may petsang Marso 31, inatasan ng komite ang isang state auditor ng Commission on Audit (COA) na humarap sa pagdinig sa Abril 14 at dalhin ang mga orihinal na dokumento kaugnay ng paggamit at liquidation ng confidential funds ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) at Department of Education (DepEd) mula 2022 hanggang 2023. Saklaw ng subpoena ang mga tseke, disbursement voucher, liquidation report, certification, accomplishment report, at patunay ng pagsusumite sa Malacañang, Senado, at House of Representatives.
Kabilang din sa ipinahihingi ng panel ang documentary evidence of payments para kina “Mary Grace Piattos,” “Milky Secuya,” “Kokoy Villamin,” at “Irene Tan,” gayundin ang mga rekord na may hindi mabasang pangalan, kulang, walang pirma, walang pangalan, walang petsa, o “showing the physical impossibility of actual disbursement.”
Hiningi rin ng komite ang mga rekord na “bearing dates within periods when within which OVP had no Confidential Funds to be disbursed.”
Nagpalabas din ng subpoena ang House panel sa Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) upang isumite ang tax records ni Duterte at ng kanyang asawa na si Manases Carpio mula 2007 hanggang 2025, at inatasan si BIR Commissioner Charlito Mendoza na dumalo sa susunod na pagdinig.
Saklaw din ng kautusan ang ilang korporasyon at business interest na iniuugnay umano sa mag-asawa, kabilang ang Metro City Chow Foods Corp., Gencorp Industries Inc., Carpio Lawyers, 888 Bistro, CALE88 Foods Corp., Madayaw Fisheries Corp., Mati City Ice Plant and Cold Storage Inc., Amianan Shores Inc., Geometry Security and Investigation Agency Inc., at Cabletow 88 Shipping and Marine Services Inc.
Ayon sa subpoena, kailangan ang mga rekord “to identify and authenticate the submissions to your office, such as but not limited to the Income Tax Returns and Annual Financial Statements of Vice President Sara Zimmerman Duterte and her spouse, Manases Carpio, as well as the various entities in which they hold interests, as well as testify thereon.” RNT
