MANILA, Philippines – Umapela ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa mga local government unit (LGU) sa Zamboanga Peninsula, Davao Region, at SOCCSKSARGEN na agad magsagawa ng audit at inspeksyon sa mga imprastraktura matapos ang magnitude 7.8 na lindol na yumanig sa Mindanao.
Ayon sa DILG, naglabas sila ng direktiba sa mga gobernador at alkalde na magsagawa ng mabilis na structural assessment lalo na sa mga gusaling matinding naapektuhan o may nakikitang pinsala.
“Buildings must be assessed and cleared before people are allowed to return. Where structures are found to be unsafe, LGUs are advised to take immediate protective measures, including evacuation and temporary relocation, to prevent further risk to residents,” ayon sa ahensya.
Dagdag pa ng DILG, dapat makipag-ugnayan ang LGUs sa PHIVOLCS, lokal na DRRMO, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), at Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) para sa mas maayos na inspeksyon.
Ayon sa ulat, tumama ang lindol 32 kilometro southwest ng Maasim, Sarangani noong Lunes ng umaga, bandang 7:37 a.m., ayon sa PHIVOLCS.
Iniulat din ng DILG na gumagamit na sila ng infrastructure audit tool na ginagamit na ng 208 LGU sa Mindanao. Ayon sa datos hanggang Mayo 15, umabot na sa 3,302 LGU-owned buildings ang na-audit sa rehiyon. RNT/MND
