MANILA, Philippines – INAPRUBAHAN ng Gabinete ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., ang panukalang 2027 National Expenditure Program na iprinisinta ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) sa isang miting sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang.

Pinangunahan ni Pangulong Marcos ang nasabing pagpupulong.

“The cabinet discussed and approved the 2027 national expenditure program as presented by the DBM,” ang sinabi Presidential Communications Office Acting Secretary Dave Gomez sa isang Viber message.

“On the total amount and other details, we do not want to pre-empt the President’s budget submission to Congress,” anito.

“In crafting the proposed [Fiscal Year] 2027 budget, the government is confronted with a very narrow fiscal space, further constrained by funding pressures from automatically appropriated items, such as the National Tax Allotment shares of LGUs (local government units) and interest payments, as well as the requirements of newly-enacted laws and recurrent mandatory expenditures,” ang mababasa sa memorandum.

“As such, all proposed [Programs, Activities and Projects] should have undergone the necessary review and approval by relevant oversight agencies or committees within the prescribed budget preparation timelines to be considered for funding in the proposed FY 2027 Budget,” ang sinabi ng DBM.
