PAMPANGA, Philippines – Pinasinayaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., ang Jose B. Lingad Children’s Medical Center sa Mabalacat City, Pampanga, nangako ng mas mahusay na healthcare system sa lalawigan at kalapit-lugar.
Sa pagpapasinaya ng bagong Department of Health (DOH) hospital, araw ng Biyernes, Hulyo 24, sinabi ng Pangulo na hindi mahihirapang bumiyahe ang mga magulang papuntang ospital sa Metro Manila upang ipagamot ang kanilang mga may sakit na anak.
Pinalawak ng Jose B. Lingad Children’s Medical Center ang access para sa espesyal na pediatric services sa Luzon dahil magbibigay ito ng libre, high-quality medical care sa mga anak at kanilang pamilya mula sa Region I, II at III, at maging sa mga kalapit lugar.
“Parents seeking specialized treatment for their children will no longer have to make difficult trips to Metro Manila, sometimes even having to go abroad,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos.
“They will be spared the financial and emotional toll of a long journey, of lost income, and time away from home, all while caring for a sick child. Instead, they can focus on their child’s healing, recovery, and well-being,” dagdag na wika nito.
Tinukoy ng Pangulo na noong 2020, kalahati ng mga filipino ang maaaring magkaroon ng access sa primary healthcare sa loob ng 30 minuto.
Winika ng Pangulo na ito’y “a reminder of the gaps that remained in our healthcare system.”
Binigyang diin ng Pangulo na mas challenging para sa mga pasyente na nangangailangan ng specialized medical treatment, na madalas na available lamang sa metropolitan areas gaya ng National Capital Region (NCR).
“Parents, for example, had to find money for food, for travel, for lodging. They had to leave work, to be away from their families, endure the fear and uncertainty that every parent knows when a child is ill,” ani Pangulong Marcos.
“This is why I have directed the establishment of regional specialty hospitals across the country to improve the overall healthcare system nationwide,” ang sinabi pa rin ng Chief Executive sabay sabing napapanahon ang pagtatapos ng Clark Multi-Specialty Medical Center.
Ang ospital ay bahagi ng first phase ng Clark Multi-Specialty Medical Center. Bubuksan ang pintuan sa mga pasyente sa Agosto 1, 2026.
Ayon sa Pangulo, zero-balance billing program ay ipatutupad sa ospital.
“This is only the beginning. After this Medical Center, more modern facilities will rise within the Clark Multi-Specialty Medical Center complex, such as the Renal Center, the Cardiovascular Center, and the Cancer Center,” ang pangako ng Pangulo.
Kasama ng Pangulo sina Unang Ginang Liza Araneta-Marcos sa inagurasyon ng ospital.
Nilibot ng mga ito ang medical center para inspeksyunin ang Integrated Operating Room nito, espesyalista sa outpatient consultation area at advanced diagnostic facilities, kabilang na ang artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled X-ray system at isang 128-slice CT scanner. (KRIS JOSE)
