Mismong rekord ng OVP makakapagpapatunay na P125M nagasta lamang sa 11 araw – Prosecution team

MANILA, Philippines – Mapapatunayan ng prosekusyon gamit ang mga rekord mismo ng Office of the Vice President na ang P125 million na confidential funds ay nadisburse sa loob lamang ng 11 araw, ayon kay House Prosecution team legal spokesperon Benjamin Tolosa Jr.

Sa pagdinig ng Senate impeachment, tinanggihan ng depensa ang stipulation ng prosekusyon na natanggap ng OVP ang pera noong Disyembre 20,2022 at naubos sa loob lang ng 11 araw.

“It will be up to the Impeachment Court how they’ll take this refusal to enter the stipulation. But at the end of the day, even if they’ll not enter into that stipulation, we’re confident that we have the evidence that will be able to establish that fact,” paliwanag ni Tolosa.

Sa kanyang pagtestigo sinabi ni Commission on Audit (COA) state auditor Roderick Wamil na nakasaad sa OVP Physical and Financial Plan na ang cash advance ay para sa 4 na quarter ng 2022 gayunpaman, ang liquidation report ng OVP ay sumaklaw lamang sa Disyembre 21 hanggang 31, 2022.

Ibinunyag din ni Tolosa na nagsumite ang OVP ng isang revised accomplishment report matapos matuklasan ng COA ang mga discrepancy sa mga orihinal na dokumento.

“The fact that they submitted a revised accomplishment report means they acknowledged that they had to correct it,meaning, doon sa nauna, may problema o pagkukulang,” ani Tolosa.

Sa panog naman ni House impeachment trial spokesperson at Kabataan Partylist Representative Atty. Renee Co sinabi nito na malinaw ang mga alituntunin ng Commission on Audit (COA) sa paggamit ng confidential funds, ngunit hindi nagtutugma ang mga dokumentong isinumite ng Office of the Vice President (OVP).
