CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines – Nasabat ng pulisya ang tinatayang P6.8 milyong halaga ng hinihinalang shabu sa isang buy-bust operation sa Kamakawan area, Barangay Indahag, nitong Sabado ng hapon, Setyembre 26.
Ayon kay Maj. Joan G. Navarro, hepe ng Regional Public Information Office ng Police Regional Office 10 (PRO 10), isang 40-anyos na high-value individual ang naaresto at nasa kustodiya na ng Maharlika Custodial Facility.
“The arrested 40-years old High-Value Individual (HIV) is being thoroughly investigated now to determine his source and contacts of the illicit drugs,” ani Navarro.
Tinatayang isang kilo ng hinihinalang shabu ang nasamsam, kasama ang isang itim na chest bag, Android mobile phone at P10,000 buy-bust money.
Isinagawa ang operasyon ng Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 10 kasama ang mga tauhan ng COCPO, Regional Intelligence Division 10, COCPO City Mobile Force Company, PDEG Special Operations Unit 10, Police Station 2-Cogon at Regional Intelligence Unit 10, sa koordinasyon ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Inihahanda na ang mga kasong paglabag sa Republic Act No. 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 laban sa suspek.
Pinuri ni PRO 10 Director Police Brig. Gen. Nestor C. Babagay, Jr. ang mga operatiba at sinabing patuloy ang kanilang intelligence-driven operations laban sa ilegal na droga.
“We will continue to go after those who bring illegal drugs into our communities. PRO10 will find them, and we will make sure they face the law,” ani Babagay. RNT/MDS
