MANILA, Philippines- Itinanggi ng abogado ni dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo nitong Biyernes na nagsinungaling siya ukol sa kinaroroonan ng dating alkalde.
“The media can attest to the fact that in all my interviews, I consistently say that I am fully relying on what my client has told me,” giit ni Atty. Stephen David, legal counsel ni Guo.
“In other words, I was merely echoing her declaration that she is still in the country,” dagdag niya.
Nang isiwalat ni Senator Risa Hontiveros na umalis ng bansa noong Hulyo si Guo, kilala rin bilang Chinese national na si Guo Hua Ping, inihayag ni David na sinabi sa kanya ni Guo na nasa bansa pa rin siya.
Subalit, inamin ni David na hindi niya makumpirma ang impormasyon at walang ideya sa eksaktong lokasyon nito.
“I relied on our client’s representations and disclosures in good faith, trusting in the accuracy and honesty of the information provided for the purpose of defending and/or protecting their causes and rights,” pahayag ng abogado.
Bukod dito, sinabi ni David na nang ihayag niya ito, walang travel records si Guo tulad ng stamps of entry sa ibang bansa fingerprints, o CCTV footage.
Dahil dito, iginiit niyang wala siyang rason upang pagdudahan si Guo. RNT/SA
