MANILA, Philippines – Opisyal nang inaprubahan ng Commission on Appointments (CA) nitong Martes, Agosto 20 ang ad interim appointment ni Hans Leo Cacdac bilang kalihim ng secretary Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
Ito ay kasunod ng pag-endorso ng CA Committee on Labor, Employment, Social Welfare, and Migrant Workers, na pinangunahan ni Negros Occidental Representative Mercedes Alvarez, sa kumpirmasyon ni Cacdac bilang DMW chief ngayong araw.
Sa plenary session, inaprubahan ni CA chairman at Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero ang mosyon matapos na magpahayag ng tiwala at appreciation ang ilang mambabatas sa kasipagan ni Cacdac para sa labor at overseas Filipino workers (OFW) sectors.
Bago maging bahagi ng gabinete ay naging DMW undersecretary si Cacdac.
Siya rin ay naging executive director ng Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) at Philippine Employment Administration (POEA), at undersecretary ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). RNT/JGC
