Manila, Philippines – llang netizens ang dismayado sa pag-flex ni Awra Briguela ng kanyang school uniform sa inenrolang University of the East.
Naka-blouse and skirt kasi si Awra.
At least three netizens have expressed their disgust over Awra’s wearing a girl’s school uniform.
Isa roon posted: “I have no issues of you being gay.”
Pero dapat daw ay matuto si Awra na iangkop sa kanyang sekswalidad ang pagsusuot ng pambabaeng uniporme.
Still another netizen commented: “Are you not ashamed of wearing that to think you’re not a real woman? A clear case of someone who’s educated but not necessarily well-mannered!”
Ang isa namang netizen ay napa-“Wow!” sabay tanong kung pinapaysgan daw ba ‘yon ng UE.
At para nga matigil na ang diskusyon, naglabas na ng opisyal na pahayag ang nasabing pamantasan.
Anito, ipino-promote daw nila’y isang “safe and inclusive environment” para sa mga mag-aaral.
Tiniyak din ng UE na ang mga miyembro ng LGBTQIA+ community “are not left behind or discriminated against.”
Pinahihintulutan din daw nila ang kanilang mga mag-aaral na magsuot ng opposite sex attire
“provided there’s an approval from the Student Affairs Office.”
