MANILA, Philippines – Inanunsyo ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) nitong Sabado, Disyembre 2 na itatalaga na nila ang bagong batch ng mga immigration officer bago mag-Pasko.
Sa kasalukuyan ay nagsasanay ang BI ng nasa 38 tauhan sa Philippine Immigration Academy sa Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.
Ang mga ito ay magsisilbing immigration officers, assistants, administrative aides at officers, at fingerprint examiners.
“The immigration officers are set to be deployed in the frontlines in time for Christmas, while the other trainees will act as immigration officers on augmentation teams,” saad sa pahayag ng BI.
Ang batch na ito ay bahagi ng pagsisikap ng ahensya na mapalakas pa ang kanilang workforce.
Upang masiguro naman ang efficient service sa mga biyahero, ang mga bagong frontliner ay nakatatanggap ng training sa Philippine immigration laws and policies, maging ang soft skills katulad ng pakikipag-usap, customer service at conflict resolution.
“After the issues we have encountered, we saw the need to up soft skills training wherein our frontliners are trained in communication, customer service, and conflict resolution,” ani Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco.
“This allows for a more holistic training, which we hope would significantly improve our services,” dagdag pa niya.
Ang bagong batch ng immigration inspectors ay magtatapos sa pagsasanay sa Disyembre 11 at inaasahang itatalaga agad pagkatapos ng graduation. RNT/JGC
