MANILA, Philippines – Nanindigan si Senador Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa nitong Martes, Marso 25 na hindi ito magpapahuli sa International Criminal Court (ICC).
Kasabay nito ay sinabi rin ni Dela Rosa na papayag lamang siyang magpaaresto kung lokal na korte ang mag-uutos nito.
Katulad ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, si Dela Rosa rin ay sinampahan ng reklamong crimes against humanity sa ICC dahil sa war on drugs ng nakaraang administrasyon kung saan siya ay nagsilbing kauna-unahang police chief ni Duterte.
“Didn’t you ask earlier, in what instance will I allow to get arrested? If the warrant of arrest they have is issued by a local court, then they can arrest me,” ani Dela Rosa.
“But if their warrant of arrest is issued by the ICC, I won’t let them arrest me,” giit niya.
Matatandaan na inaresto si Duterte noong Marso 11 sa bisa ng arrest order mula sa ICC.
“If they corner me, then they can arrest me. But if they don’t, they can’t get me,” sinabi pa ng senador.
Siniguro naman niya na hindi siya tatakas palabas ng Pilipinas sa kabila ng usapin na posibleng siya na ang isunod ng ICC. RNT/JGC
