MANILA, Philippines – Nakipag-ugnayan ang Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) sa consortium ng South Korean at local firms para magtayo ng 6.1 ektaryang abot-kayang housing complex sa loob ng New Clark City sa Tarlac, na nagkakahalaga ng P4.8 bilyon.
Kabilang sa consortium ay ang Saekyung Realty Corp., Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corp. (KIND), at Sta. Clara International Corp. (SCIC).
“Beyond addressing housing needs, this project, if realized, will generate jobs, attract investment, and drive economic growth in Central Luzon,” pahayag ni BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Joshua Bingcang.
Sinabi ng BCDA na ang planong housing complex ay ilalagay sa 9,450-ha metropolis sa loob ng Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone at magkakaroon ng 12 high-density residential buildings, na may kabuuang 3,320 units.
Sa mga unit na ito, sinabi pa na 2,600 sa siyam na mga gusali ay ibebenta sa open market.
Ang nalalabing 720 units sa tatlo sa mga gusali ay magiging bahagi ng Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, ang national housing program ng pamahalaan.
Matatandaan na pumasok sa memorandum of understanding noong 2023 ang BCDA sa Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), ang implementing agency ng pamahalaan para sa 4PH Program.
Bukod sa residential units, magkakaroon din ang housing complex ng modern infrastructure at essential amenities, katulad ng green spaces at parks para sa recreation and wellness, road networks, at stormwater drainage systems.
Anang BCDA, ang planong housing complex ay naaayon sa United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, o ang pagtatayo ng mga lungsod at human settlements na “inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.” RNT/JGC
