Manila, Philippines – Abut-abot ang pasasalamat ni Cristy Fermin makaraang iatras ni Bea Alonzo ang isinampa nitong cyber libel case laban sa kanya at dalawang kasamahan.
May 2, 2024 nang maghabla ang Kapuso actress laban kina Cristy, Romel Tsika at Wendell Alvarez ng online program na Showbiz Now Na.
Ani Cristy, tinanggap daw ng kampo ni Bea ang inilatag nilang paliwanag–tanda ng pang-unawa nito sa kanilang trabaho.
Ipinaliwanag ni Cristy na tulad nilang tatlo ng kanyang mga kasamahan ay nagpakumbaba din si Bea.
“Wala po kaming ninais na saktan siya (Bea), sirain o wasakin,” giit ni Cristy na nagpasalamat din sa pamilya ng aktres at mga abogado nito.
Kasabay nito’y naglabas din sila ng public apology para kay Bea at sa pamilya nito.
Bahagi ng pahayag ng kampo ni Cristy: “We deeply regret the unintended and unfortunate consequences of our actions, including the public persecution that Ms. Alonzo has endured.
“It was never our intention to defame, offend or harm Ms. Alonzo in any way. We realize now that our words might have fallen short of the respect and fairness that everyone deserves, especially someone who has dedicated her life to her craft and her audience.
“We are truly grateful to Ms. Alonzo for her willingness to work towards resolution and healing.
“Thank you to everyone for your understanding and for giving us the chance to rectify our unintended shortcomings.”
