MANILA, Philippines – Bukod sa Taal Lake sa Batangas, pinag-aaralan din ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na galugarin ang iba pang mga lugar kung saan posibleng dinala ang 34 na nawawalang mga sabungero, ayon kay PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III.
Inihayag ni Torre ang impormasyong ito bilang reaksyon niya sa apela ng ilang kaanak ng mga nawawalang sabungero na isagawa na ang diving operations sa Taal Lake.
“Actually, we are also planning to look for the bodies not just in Taal Lake. Based on our information, the lake is not the only location of disposal. We are also examining other areas,” dagdag pa niya.
Sa kabila nito, hindi na nagbigay ng impormasyon si Torre sa iba pang mga lugar na kanilang tututukan.
Sinabi lang niya na may mga tinukoy na iba pang lugar ang mga saksi na nakipag-ugnayan sa PNP.
“We are keeping these locations secret because if I reveal it, the people who committed this crime will retrieve the bodies,” ipinunto ni Torre.
“Aside from Taal Lake, other witnesses who stepped forward identified other sites where the bodies were disposed of. Some bodies were said to have been burned. Others were buried. We will know if these are true after we recover the bodies,” dagdag pa. RNT/JGC
