MANILA, Philippines – Muling naaresto ng Bureau of Immigration ang overstaying na Chinese national na dati nang na-detain ng Philippine National Police.
Sa pahayag ng BI nitong Sabado, Hulyo 6, inaresto ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group ang 32-anyos na si Liu Yuhang noong Mayo dahil sa illegal possession of firearms at suspected hacking equipment.
“The discovery of such equipment raised significant concerns about potential security threats,” saad sa pahayag.
Naaresto na naman ng Intelligence Division ng BI ang Chinese national dahil sa pagiging undesirable alien at overstaying.
Ayon sa BI, dumating si Liu sa bansa noong Hulyo 18 at ang visa nito ay visa nito ay valid lamang hanggang Agosto 2022.
“Foreign nationals that pose a threat to security should be arrested and deported,” ayon kay BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco.
Kasalukuyang nakaditene si Liu sa BI facility sa Bicutan, Taguig at nakatakdang ipa-deport. RNT/JGC
