MANILA, Philippines – Nangako ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at counterpart nitong, Australian Defence Force (ADF), na palalakasin pa ang ugnayan ng dalawang bansa para sa kapayapaan at stability ng rehiyon.
Sinabi ni AFP public affairs office chief Col. Xerxes Trinidad na isinagawa ni AFP chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. ang commitment nitong Huwebes, Hulyo 18 sa video call kasama si Admiral David Johnston, ang bagong hepe ng ADF.
“During the call, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to regional stability and the continuation of strong defense and security relations between the Philippines and Australia,” ani Trinidad.
Iginiit ng dalawang opisyal ang kahalagahan ng long-standing partnership sa pagtugon sa shared security challenges at pagpapalakas sa regional peace and stability.
“Both leaders concluded the call with a pledge to continue strengthening their defense ties and working closely on various initiatives aimed at further enhancing existing military cooperation activities,” dagdag ni Trinidad. RNT/JGC
