MANILA, Philippines- Binigyang-diin ng tagapagsalita ng Department of Education nitong Biyernes kung paano ginagastos ng DepEd ang P150 milyong confidential funds nito.
Ani DepEd spokesman Undersecretary Michael Wesley Poa, bahagi ng mandato ng DepEd na makapagbigay ng ligtas na learning environment para sa mga mag-aaral.
Aniya, ilan sa mga isyung kinahaharap ng DepEd teachers at learners ay “sexual abuse, recruitment of violent and extremist groups, terrorist groups, communist rebels, and drug-related incidents.”
“Kaya tayo humihingi para meron tayong information saan talamak ang ganyan,” giit niya.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Vice President Sara Duterte na may dahilan at kailangan ang confidential funds sa DepEd “because basic education is intertwined with national security.” RNT/SA
