MANILA, Philippines- Inaprubahan ng Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-National Capital Region (RTWPB-NCR) ang dagdag na P500 sa buwanang minimum wage para sa domestic workers (kasambahay).
Sa Wage Order No. NCR-DW-05, sinabi ng NCR wage board na ang bagong minimum wage sa rehiyon para sa sektor ay P7,000 kada buwan.
“The new minimum wage for kasambahays in the region is at P7,000 a month, which is PHP500 higher than the previous rate,” pahayag nito.
Base ang bagong Wage Order sa motu proprio decision ng Board na na ikasa ang minimum wage determination process.
Ang kasalukuyang monthly minimum wage para sa mga kasambahay sa Metro Manila ay P6,500.
Iiral ang bagong wage hike sa Jan. 4, 2025.
“All domestic workers in the NCR are covered by the wage order, regardless of their type of employment, whether live-in or live-out,” dagdag ng NWPC. RNT/SA
