MANILA, Philippines – Nanawagan si Senador Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na manindigan kung ano ang posisyon nito sa imbestigasyon ng International Criminal Court (ICC) sa war on drugs.
Sa panayam ng DWIZ, kinwestyon ni Dela Rosa ang tila paiba-ibang posisyon ng mga gabinete sa pagpayag sa ICC probe sa war on drugs ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, sa kabila na nagsabi na ang Pangulo na hindi niya kinikilala ang hurisdiksyon ng ICC sa bansa.
“I am not sure of the definite stand of the government. What the President and his cabinet are saying are of two things: the President seems to have lost control over the cabinet or the President is the one who double talks over greenlighting what the cabinet does. Will he or will he not? nothing is definite,” ani Dela Rosa.
“I am hoping that the words of the President shall prevail and I hope he clears what the government’s stand is,” dagdag pa.
Nitong Martes, Hulyo 30, sinabi ni Solicitor General Menardo Guevarra na hindi haharangin ng pamahalaan ang pagpapanagot ng ICC sa mga sangkot sa madugong drug war.
Kinumpirma rin ni Guevarra na humingi ng tulong sa pamahalaan si ICC prosecutor Karim Khan noong Hulyo para kapanayamin ang mga dati at kasalukuyang high-ranking police officers na sangkot sa pagkamatay ng libo-libong katao sa “Oplan Tokhang.” RNT/JGC
