MANILA, Philippines — Itinanggi ni Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Henry Aguda nitong Martes ang mga ulat na nagbitiw siya sa kanyang puwesto.
“I deny the false reports and speculations that I have resigned from my position,” pahayag ni Aguda sa isang post sa Facebook page ng ahensya, kasunod ng naunang ulat ng isang news website na nagsasabing siya ay nagbitiw na sa tungkulin.
Giit ni Aguda, patuloy ang DICT sa kampanya laban sa disinformation at maling impormasyon.
“The DICT has been steadfast in its efforts to combat disinformation and the spread of fake news, and this latest rumor is yet another example of how false narratives can be weaponized to sow confusion and undermine public trust,” aniya.
Dagdag pa niya, nananatili siyang naglilingkod sa ilalim ng awtoridad ng Pangulo. “As with all members of the Cabinet, I continue to serve at the pleasure of the President and remain fully committed to carrying out the mandate entrusted to me by the administration,” pahayag niya.
Si Aguda ay itinalagang DICT secretary noong Marso 2025. Bago ang kanyang appointment, nagsilbi siya bilang presidente at CEO ng UnionDigital Bank at dating Digital Infrastructure Lead ng Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC). RNT
