MANILA, Philippines – INATASAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) na magtayo ng emergency field hospitals at magdala ng mga medisina sa Naga City at iba pang lugar na tinamaan ng Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
“He personally instructed me to ramp up preparations for the provision of emergency field hospitals and medicines, which shall be deployed in Naga and all other affected areas as soon as conditions improve. This will ensure that care is immediately provided to whoever may need it,” ang sinabi ni DILG Secretary Juanito Victor ”Jonvic” Remulla Jr.
“This is just one of the many forms of aid which we will deploy in response to the devastation wrought by [Severe Tropical Storm] Kristine, and which Defense Secretary Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro, in his capacity as chairperson of the NDRRMC, has been tirelessly coordinating and updating the President,” ayon pa rin sa Kalihim.
Aniya pa, ang marching orders ni Pangulong Marcos ay malinaw, “to work with utmost urgency and compassion, to rescue those in danger, provide relief for all affected, and make efforts towards the restoration of basic services in all affected areas.”
Nais aniya ni Pangulong Marcos na makapagbigay ang national government ng lahat ng posibleng suporta sa LGUs na nagdurusa laban sa bagsik ng nasabing bagyo.
“On his behalf, we assure the Bikolano people that all resources of the national government are being mobilized. No one will be left behind in these difficult times,” ayon kay Remulla.
Kris Jose
