MANILA, Philippines – Inanunsyo ng Department of Health (DOH) ang pagreretiro ni Undersecretary Eric Tayag pagkatapos ng 35 taong serbisyo sa ahensya.
Sa pahayag, sinabi ng DOH na si Assistant Secretary Ariel Valencia ang hahalili kay Tayag sa kanyang pagbaba mula sa kanyang tungkulin bilang pinuno ng DOH Public Health Services Clusteri in charge ng epidemiology, disease prevention and control, and health promotion sa Abril 15.
Samantala, si Usec. Emmie Perez-Chiong ang bagong Chief Information Officer na responsable sa digital health at health information systems.
Inanunsyo rin ng DOH na si Officer-in-charge Assistant Secretary Albert Francis Domingo ay nagsisilbi bilang spokesperson ng ahensya.
“On behalf of the entire Department and the health sector, I thank Usec. Eric Tayag, for his time and talent all these decades in the service of the Philippine health sector,” sabi ni DOH Secretary Teodoro J. Herbosa tungkol sa retirement ni Tayag.
“I am witness to his well-deserved progression from a young infectious disease doctor and epidemiologist to health Undersecretary, Chief Information Officer, and DOH Spokesperson,” ayon pa kay Herbosa.
Nagpahayag din ng kumpiyansa ang DOH na ang puso at pagmamahal ni Tayag sa serbisyo ay magpapatuloy kahit umalis na ito sa departamento. Jocelyn Tabangcura-Domenden
