MANILA, Philippines – PINAALALAHANAN ng Department of Tourism (DOT) ang mga dayuhang turista na maging maingat sa kanilang kilos at pag-uugali at igalang ang mga lokal kapag kapag bumibisita sa Pilipinas.
“As the Philippines warmly welcomes guests from around the world, it is essential that they respect our people and our culture and comply with our laws during their stay,” ang sinabi ni Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco.
“The Philippines is renowned for its friendly and hospitable people, and this is a key part of the unique Philippine experience that we offer to travelers. It is imperative that this generosity is met with respect,” ayon pa rin sa Kalihim.
Ani Frasco, kinokondena ng DOT ang anumang uri ng mapang-abusong pag-uugali ng mga turista, maging ito man ay pambabastos sa kultura ng mga filipino o paglabag sa karapatan ng mga indibiduwal.
Sa kabilang dako, pinuri naman ni Frasco ang mabilis at desididong aksyon ng Philippine National Police at Bureau of Immigration (BI) sa pag-aresto sa Russian vlogger na si Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, nahuli sa video na hina-harass ang mga Filipino sa Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig.
“This underscores the government’s unwavering determination in upholding our nation’s laws and ensuring public safety, in line with our shared commitment to protecting the dignity and rights of every Filipino,” ang winika pa ni Frasco.
Sa isang viral post na kumakalat sa X, nakita si Zdorovetskiy na lumapit sa isang babae para bigyan siya ng pera.
Nang tumanggi ang babae at lumakad palayo, kagyat na inakusahan ni Zdorovetskiy ang babae na may suot na face mask ng mayroon itong “Covid” (coronavirus disease) at tapos ay sumigaw at tinawag ang babae na “liberal f—” at sinabi sa babae na “get your vaccine.”
Sa ulat, inaresto ang Russian vlogger na si Vitaly Zdorovetskiy sa isang hotel sa Pasay City nitong Miyerkoles dahil sa pangha-harass umano sa mga Pilipino sa kaniyang mga livestream, ayon sa Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) nitong Huwebes.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng CIDG na dinakip ang naturang content creator at streamer matapos maglabas ang Bureau of Immigration (BI) ng Mission Order for Undesirability laban sa kaniya.
Sinabi ni CIDG chief Police Major General Nicolas Torre III na inaabala umano ng vlogger ang mga Pilipino at nagpakita ng “disruptive behavior” sa kaniyang livestream sa Bonifacio Global City (BGC) sa Taguig City.
Nag-viral online ang mga video ni Vitaly habang nakatanggap naman siya ng batikos dahil sa diumano’y pangha-harrass at pang-iinsulto sa mga Pilipino para sa content.
“His recent video filmed in BGC and viral online has sparked outrage due to his alleged disruptive and inappropriate behavior toward unsuspecting and friendly Filipinos,” sabi ng CIDG. Kris Jose
