MANILA, Philippines – Kinumpirma ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) nitong Sabado, Oktubre 4 na nakatanggap na ang ahensya ng P625 milyon para sa replenishment ng Quick Response Fund (QRF) nito.
“That’s correct, we have received recently from DBM (Department of Budget and Management) the replenishment of our Quick Response Fund and that will be used primarily for the procurement of welfare goods so we could continue with the production of family food packs in our production house,” sinabi ni DSWD spokesperson Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao sa news forum nitong Sabado, Oktubre 4.
Inanunsyo ng DBM nitong Biyernes ang paglalabas ng kabuuang P1.625 bilyon para sa QRF ng DSWD at Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Sa nasabing halaga, P625 milyon ang inilabas para sa QRF ng DSWD, habang ang P1 bilyon ay para sa DPWH.
Inilaan ang P625 milyon para sa prepositioning ng relief resources sa mga warehouse ng DSWD at probisyon para sa Emergency Cash Transfer para sa mga pamilyang apektado ng kalamidad sa mga lugar na idineklara sa ilalim ng state of calamity.
“We will replenish those we have already released or distributed to areas that have been affected,” ani Dumlao.
“Also this will be part of our preparation for disaster response because as explained by PAGASA, last Saturday, we are still expecting several typhoons that may hit our country until the end of this year,” dagdag pa niya.
Ang QRF ay nagsisilbing standby fund para sa relief at recovery programs upang masigurong maibabalik sa normal ang buhay ng mga residente sa mga komunidad na apektado ng kalamidad, epidemya at iba pang emergency.
Maaaring mag-request ang mga ahensya ng pamahalaan ng replenishment nito mula sa DBM kung ang balance ng QRF ay umabot na sa 50%. RNT/JGC
