MANILA, Philippines – Inaresto ng mga awtoridad ang isang Estonian vlogger sa umano’y panghaharass ng mga Filipino at reklamo ng hindi awtorisadong pagkuha ng mga video at hindi magandang kilos, ayon sa Bureau of Immigration (BI) nitong Sabado, Enero 17.
Kinilala ng BI ang 34-anyos na vlogger na si Siim Roosipuu na naaresto noong Enero 15 ng BI intelligence operatives and anti-terrorist group, sa koordinasyon sa Philippine National Police.
Gumawa na ng aksyon ang BI para ipa-deport ang dayuhang vlogger at sinabing hindi nito palalampasin ang mga hindi magandang kilos ng mga dayuhan at panloloko sa mga Filipino.
Idinagdag pa na si Roosipuu ay may Youtube channel na “Pro Life Traveler” at nanghaharass ng mga Filipino kabilang ang mga menor de edad.
“[BI Commissioner Joel Anthony] Viado said authorities acted after local officials in Negros Oriental declared the vlogger persona non grata, citing complaints of harassment, unauthorized filming, offensive remarks, and online content that demeaned Filipinos. The city council resolution was endorsed to national agencies, triggering enforcement action and the foreigner’s arrest,” saad sa pahayag ng BI.
Ang kaso ni Roosipuu ay katulad ng naging kaso ni Russian vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, na nangharass din ng mga Filipino.
Si Zdorovetskiy ay sinampahan ng three counts of unjust vexation at inaresto matapos mag-viral ang insidente.
Iginiit ni Viado na “Philippines is not a content playground” at ang mga dayuhan na bumibisita sa bansa ay hindi dapat gamitin ang mga Filipino para sa likes at views.
“We welcome tourists and legitimate creators, but anyone who exploits our people for views, clicks, or profit will face arrest, deportation, and blacklisting,” sinabi ni Viado.
“If you come here to provoke, insult, or humiliate Filipinos, your stay will be short and your exit will be permanent,” dagdag pa. RNT/JGC
