MANILA, Philippines- Inihayag ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) na isang bomb joke ang sanhi ng pagkaantala ng flight sa Bohol-Panglao International Airport nitong Sabado.
Nabatid sa CAAP na ang isang pasahero na sakay ng Cebu Pacific flight 5J617 ay gumawa ng bomb joke nang lumapag sa Bohol-Panglao airport alas-11:20 ng umaga noong Sabado, Marso 22, na naging sanhi sa agarang pagsasagawa ng hakbang para sa seguridad.
“A flight attendant overheard the remark made by two passengers, who were subsequently placed under police custody,” ayon sa CAAP.
“Upon receiving information from tower personnel, the CAAP Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS) promptly responded to assess the situation,” dagdag pa ng ahensya.
Sinabi ng CAAP na hiniling ng piloto ang agarang clearance ng aircraft cabin at bagahe para sa masusing security inspection.
“By 12:43 p.m., authorities confirmed that the aircraft was free of any explosive threat. All passengers and crew members were declared safe, and the flight operations resumed without further incident,” pahayag ng CAAP.
Pinaalalahanan ng CAAP ang publiko na ang paggawa ng bomb joke ay isang seryosong kasalanan sa ilalim ng Presidential Decree No. 1727, na mahigpit na nagbabawal sa mga false bomb threat.
Ang mga lalabag ay maaaring makulong ng hindi hihigit sa limang taon o multa ng hanggang P40,000. JR Reyes
