MANILA, Philippines – Itutuloy sa Hunyo 8 ang imbestigasyon ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee sa maanomalyang flood control projects, ayon kay Senador Erwin Tulfo nitong Miyerkules, Hunyo 3.
Si Tulfo, bagong chair ng naturang Senate panel, ay nagsabing ito ay para magbigay-daan sa mga bagong miyembro na maghanda at para suriin ng komite ang mga resource person na iimbitahan sa legislative inquiry.
“There will be a Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on Monday. We are just moving the schedule date from tomorrow to prepare all members,” ani Tulfo sa press conference.
“I declare and I manifested, that all members of the Senate be in the majority and the new minority now, they are all members of the Blue Ribbon Committee. Para wala pong masabi na ika nga may hokus pokus,” dagdag pa niya.
Bago nito ay sinabi ni Senador Pia Cayetano na ang Senate panel ay magpapatuloy sa imbestigasyon nito sa flood control scandal ngayong Huwebes, Hunyo 4.
Inimbitahan sa naturang pagdinig sina dating Speaker at Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin Romualdez, at 18 indibidwal na nagsabing sila ay mga dating miyembro ng Philippine Marines na naghatid umano ng mga kickback sa mga opisyal ng pamahalaan.
Inimbitahan din si ex-assistant engineer Brice Hernandez ng Bulacan 1st District Engineering Office, na nauna ring nagdawit ng ilang mambabatas sa maanomalyang flood control projects.
“Now, pertaining to those invited resource persons, hindi po ako sang-ayon because we have to review these people. May sasabihin po ba talaga? Mayroon po ba ang i-didisclose? We have to review this,” ani Tulfo.
Nang tanungin kung ano ang mangyayari kung ituloy ng Cayetano-led panel ang imbestigasyon, sinabi nito na:
“That’s illegal na po yung kanyang tomorrow.”
“We have already instructed the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms, the Senate Secretary. Now, all seats vacant na po, di ba? We declared it. So, illegal na po yung gagawin niya because there’s already a new Blue Ribbon chairman,” dagdag pa niya.
Sa kabila nito, sinabi naman ni Senador Alan Peter Cayetano na ang balasahan sa Senado ay naglalayon umanong harangin ang pagpapatuloy ng imbestigasyon ng Blue Ribbon Committee, sabay sabing ang kanilang imbestigasyon ay magpapatuloy araw ng Huwebes, alas-10 ng umaga.
“But tomorrow, tuloy ang hearing ng Blue Ribbon Committee. I am still the legitimate, legal, and moral Senate President of the Republic of the Philippines, and there are still functioning committees. We have to hear the testimonies. Invited po pati yung mga gumawa ng ilegal ngayon,” aniya. RNT/JGC
