MANILA, Philippines – Para kay Camarines Sur Rep. Gabriel Bordado nakakainsuilto at malaking kadismaya ang ginawa ng Senado na ibinalik sa Kamara ang inihain nitong Articles of Impeachment laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.
Ayon kay Bordado, sa halip na ibinalik at dapat tinanong lamang ng Senate impeachment court ang House prosecution panel ukol sa ilang probisyon.
“It seemed the senators were trying to supervise the House” paliwanag ni Bordado na isa sa mga signatories sa impeachment, aniya, ang Kamara at Senado ay co-equal branches ng gobyerno.
“If they have some doubts at that stage, they could just send some clarificatory communications to the House of representatives, at wag ang i-remand yung case,” paliwanag ni Bordado.
Inamin ni Bordado na sa pagtalakay ng Senate impeachment court sa impeachment ay inaasahan niya na magkakaroon na ng trial subalit baligtad ang nangyari.
Iginiit ni Bordado na walang nilabag na constitutional provision ang Kamara sa paghahain nito ng impeachment.
Ang inihaing reklamo sa Senado ay nag-iisang complaint, ani Bordado.
