MANILA, Philippines – Nasa stable at responsive na kondisyon si Surigao del Sur Governor Johnny Pimentel matapos ang aksidente sa motorsiklo, ayon sa kanyang anak na si Provincial Administrator John Vincent Pimentel.
Naaksidente ang gobernador noong Marso 20 habang nagmomotorsiklo mula Hinatuan matapos mawalan ng kontrol sa madulas na kurbada sa Sitio Puting Buhangin, Barangay Bitaugan East sa Cagwait.
Agad siyang tinulungan ng rescue at pulis, at matapos ang paunang gamutan sa Tandag City ay inilipad sa Maynila para sa karagdagang lunas.
“Overall, he is responsive to the doctors’ instructions. He will undergo a series of surgeries,” ani John Vincent Pimentel.
Nakikipag-ugnayan ang gobernador sa pamamagitan ng pagsusulat habang nililimitahan ang pagsasalita bilang paghahanda sa operasyon.
“The governor needs to be further stabilized before his surgeries. To ensure his respiratory function is adequately supported before, during, and after the procedures, the family has enlisted the expertise of a pulmonologist,” dagdag niya.
Nagpasalamat din ang pamilya sa mga rescue team at doktor na unang umasikaso sa gobernador.
“The family is thankful to the trauma and response team from Cagwait and the attending physicians at the Adela Serra Ty Memorial Medical Center in Tandag City for their decisive actions and proper management of the incident’s impacts,” aniya.
