MANILA, Philippines- Ipinag-utos ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) nitong Huwebes ang suspensyon at pagbusisi sa polisiya ng Manila Metro Rail Transit System (MRT-3) sa hand-carried luggage dahil sa alalahaning makaaabala ito sa mga pasahero.
“DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon has been informed about an old policy with regard to limited hand-carried luggage in MRT-3,” pahayag ng DOTr sa isang social media post.
“Secretary Dizon questions this policy and has immediately ordered MRT-3 General Manager Michael Capati to suspend and review it—stressing that this should not make the lives of commuters even more difficult,” dagdag nito.
Mayroong polisiya ang MRT na nagbabawal sa malalaking gamit o bagahe na lampas sa 2 feet x 2 feet na size.
Matatandaang kabilang sa mga pagbabagong pinairal sa MRT-3 ang pagpapalawig ng operating hours nito at appointment ni Capati. RNT/SA
