MANILA, Philippines – Naitala sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) ang pinakamataas na classroom congestion sa elementary at secondary schools noong School Year 2022-2023, sinabi ng Department of Education (DepEd) nitong Miyerkules, Agosto 7.
Sa pagdinig ng Senate committee on basic education, sinabi ni DepEd Assistant Secretary for Field Operations Francis Bringas na mayroong mahigit 45 estudyante sa bawat silid-aralan sa BARMM, na maikokonsiderang congested.
“This validated ratio is [SY] 2022-2023 but we expect the same trend in [SY] 2023-2024 and this year,” dagdag pa niya.
“For the junior high school, we have high congestion in BARMM, NCR, and then region 4-A. This is above the ideal ratio that we have, this is above 45,” dagdag pa niya.
“The current estimate per classroom is around P3.5 to P5 million,” dagdag pa.
RNT/JGC
